Weight Management

Program

Learn to manage your weight with long term success by working with a dietitian to develop an individual meal plan with reasonable behavior change goals.

The initial visit is an individual session where we discuss pertinent medical history and perform an assessment of current dietary habits. We review nutrient content of foods and portion control and learn to read labels. An individualized meal plan with sample menus will be provided. A grocery list can be provided. We will address your current exercise program.

The second visit is an individual session where we review your success and challenges and provide alternative strategies to achieve your goals.

Follow up visits are available on a weekly or monthly basis.

Celiac Disease,

Gluten Sensitivities

& Intolerance

If you have a food sensitivity (such as gluten sensitivity or celiac disease) or an intolerance (such as lactose intolerance) you know how frustrating it can be to try to make choices and find foods you can tolerate. For those individuals for whom a change in diet can improve health, I offer individual sessions during which we develop a customized meal plan to achieve your health goals.

*Have you heard of the FODMAP Diet?

*Think you may have celiac disease? Take a look at the Health Questionnaire.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome,

Migraines,

& Fibromyalgia

If you suffer from IBS, migraines, or fibromyalgia and suspect it may be related to your diet, I can help you identify your triggers and safe foods.

With a simple blood test we can identify the foods that do provoke a response from your immune system. By measuring the release of mediators from your immune cells when exposed to 170 foods and food chemicals, we have an objective evaluation of which foods cause discomfort. We will receive a list of foods that cause moderate response, significant response and those to which you have very little response. We use the results to plan a menu of food to which you have the least response and you will consume only those foods for 10-14 days until you have no discomfort. This is the point where you can add one new food per day.

I'm here to help you reach your goals - the right way!

You can have your cake and eat it too... we'll at least make it tasty!
